  1. About this patch…

  3. This patch cannot work properly while virus detection software is running.  Please make sure that you have disabled any virus detectors before applying the patch.

  5. This patch adds 'dctb' resources to your PM5.0 RSRC file, so that when using System Update 3.0, you can see the nice small color icons in PageMaker's Open, Save, and Place dialog windows. However, please be advised that IS NOT an official Aldus release. Use this entirely at your own risk!  To be safe, make update on a copy of PM5.0 RSRC first.

  7. NEED THE FOLLOWING:
  8.     • System Update 3.0 (7.1, 7.1.1 or 7.1.2
  9.     • PM5.0 RSRC (It's in your Aldus folder, which is in your System folder.)
  10.     • You have installed the Standard File update when updating to System Update 3.0.

  12. HOW TO USE:
  13.     1)    Make a copy of PM5.0 RSRC and place it in another folder.
  14.     2)    Launch the patch application.
  15.     3)    Click the "Patch" button and select the PM5.0 RSRC file.
  16.     4)    The Patch program will then let you know if everything worked correctly.
